Senior Engineering Specialist, Hydro Mechanical Systems

Our client, a leader in the aerospace industry, has an immediate opening for a Senior Engineering Specialist, Hydro-Mechanical Systems within the Global Express Engineering & Product Development Team, reporting to the Manager, Systems Integration.

As a Senior Engineering team member your primary responsibilities will include but will not be limited to the following:

 Responsibilities:

  • Conducts technical investigations, analyzes and develops simple solutions/recommendations and reports
  • Recommend and approve design changes
  • Assists with technical proposal activities, including preparation of written material and presentations
  • Interface with external customers/suppliers on technical aspects
  • Develop good working relationships with various groups within the company
  • Provide technical support to ensure proper control & supervision of moderately complex projects.
  • Provides technical leadership to a team of engineers
  • May be required to conduct PMP evaluations of their team
  • Provide support to production, pre-flight and flight test
  • Provide support to In-Service Engineering and Product Safety
  • Communicate technical design objectives to Transport Canada with respect to certification requirements

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • 11+ Years of experience in a similar capacity
  • Good working knowledge of Aircraft Systems, specifically landing gear and hydraulic systems
  • Good working knowledge of Part 25 certification requirements
  • Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office software tools
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills
  • Proficient with the English language
  • Can work well in a team environment
  • Able to travel when required/requested
  • Posses good project management skills
